Cassius Clay

Materials: Black and white charcoal on map paper

I created this piece in high school and it is still one of my favorite pieces. The assignment was to create a piece over a map and have that image be a representation of the location on the map. I choose to draw Cassius Clay, who is from Louisville, Ky. He later became known as Muhammad Ali, a famous African-American boxer.
“Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee.”
